New MVNO coming in town…

There were a lot of MVNO launching nowadays, Tunetalk (Celcom network) , salamfone (Celcom network), Merchantrade (Maxis Network), Speakoutwireless (Digi Network), clixter (Umobile network) etc etc.

Today I just want to review a briliant MVNO prepaid that fit my needs

Which is long validity period … period… :)

As I myself is a Maxis postpaid user (due to my contract tie with my android device), I need a SIM card to put in into my Samsung galaxy Tab 10.1 as for my PAYU (pay per use) data plan and I do not actually use it. I sometimes need to online and sometimes I visited some place which do not have WIFI connection (adhoc internet connection, but unlike YES, u need a minimum 1 month RM30, which is sucks, that’s why i cancel it long long time ago)

Alrite, there is a new MVNO in town that offer that, which is Tron MVNO, www.tron.com.my (a new DiGi’s MVNO), the service provide you a 365 days without any contract ! doesn’t it sound great? and even when you reload RM10, you will get another 365 days on the day u topup the talktime (don’t you think this is also damn great too?)

I personally recommended that you guys that read my blog go and have a look at their prepaid plan which I think will feed your needs, although their data plan is abit expensive, but hey, you don’t actually use ur internet on your prepaid SIM everytime rite? you have Ipads, Tabs, iphone3G , iphone4G and SGS2 then you need how many SIM card in your pocket then? think again :)

A IT gadgets geek like me hold more than 3 devices when i go out, it is a pain in the ass when there are no internet connection and you will feel uncomfortable. If you want to have minimum commitment and you stay @ KL area, You could always get U-mobile then, their plan is quite cheap actually.

Make thing short because I am going to introduce this MVNO plan to you which has longest validity period in town, I have made some screenshot on the SIM pack and will let you see how’s their service benefits you.

You could go their rate plan page https://tron.com.my/tron/products-and-services/rate-plan and package plan page https://tron.com.my/tron/products-and-services for more information, if you feel that you are interested in their SIM pack, go to Sunway pyramid, or TCM (Tropicana City Mall) to buy one.

Actually I am not interested on their golden number which sell at the price of RM98 which included some value added service, some “groupon” similar website called MMP, but I am quite interested on their portal function, which enable you to reload via credit card (ipay88) and paypal, yes !!! IT IS PAYPAL, my favourite payment channel, I think this is the only telco (for prepaid) that provide reload via paypal, which fit my needs

The portal currently gives you reload via Credit card to their TronCash (Tron e-wallet currency) , and you can actually reload the Talktime via troncash (which i find very troublesome because i don’t use TronCash), which is good also so that I could spend wisely on my current prepaid talktime :)

You could also reload their talktime & tron cash via e-Pay channels by using 16 digits e-pins  nationwide if you out of credits

How to change FB to SSL enabled page

Nowadays it is quite easy to be hacked by ill-intentioned people. That’s why you should always set Facebook Secure HTTPS login which is a special secure, encrypted login page which uses (SSL) Secure Sockets Layer technology to protect Facebook users from being hijacked! As stated on the official Facebook blogsecurity is an important issue to Facebook and this is why they have decided to embed this special, encrypted page. The HTTPS page is not turned on and enabled by default. In fact, as explained on the Facebook blog, such secure  logintakes longer to load and secondly “some Facebook features, including many third-party applications, are not currently supported in HTTPS”. This article will show you how to enable such a page by going to your Facebook Security settings.

  1. Login to your Facebook account.
  2. On the upper-right side of your profile, click the Account link.
  3. From the drop down menu, select Account Settings.
  4. Under Account Security, click the Change link.
  5. You should be now able to see the Account Security Section.
  6. Tick the Browse Facebook on a secure connection (https) whenever possible checkbox.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Next time you will login to your Facebook profile you should get the secure SSL webpage. To check if you have got such security page, simply have a look the your browser Web address field. If the Facebook webpage contains HTTPS your connection will be secure!

DiGi iPhone 4 Real

In this Digi plan, I would like to compare between maxis and digi

Although Maxis’s Iphone4 is cheap on the device itself, but in long term wise, digi is still the winner, because of the unlimited 3g/hsdpa services and the network coverage.

I love the Digi afford for bringing in the competitive price on iphone4 to Malaysia, without Digi, it think all users in Malaysia are still using the expensive call rates and data rates here from “other” telco, and with the Auto Billing/credit to Digi payment, you can enjoy RM58 per month for data plan, this is what i like, cheap, affordable and reliable.

From the time i write, only 2 telcos provide iphone plan, without the competition from the 3rd telco -- celcom, i think the market is still quiet, come on celcom, you are loosing your customer here!!! you claimed that you are the largest telco in malaysia but why you can’t compete the iphone4 package with others? hope that the rumors on celcom will bring the iphone4 package to compete in the market is true, if it is true then the healthy competition between malaysia’s telco will be quite exciting. :)
